Patch 1.0.5
2012-10-16
Everything should be updated with data from the current patch. Despite the large
patch and significant gameplay changes, not a lot seems to have changed for
items, quest, etc.
As always, if you notice any issues, feel free to report them to
feedback@d3lexicon.com.
Patch 1.0.4
2012-08-19
Check out all the new Legendary
and Set items in the patch.
There are also new high-end Shields
with buffed max block values.
Old versions of items have been preserved in a new "Legacy" tab where possible,
however, stats for old crafted items are no longer available. The old versions
of the shields aren't marked as Legacy items, so they are still displayed along
side the newer versions.
Bug Fixes and Patches
2012-06-19
The game has been out for just over a month now and the first patch of
any significance has arived with version 1.0.3. The site has been updated
with this latest information and we've fixed a few bugs as well.
If you're curious how the difficulty changes have effected various monsters
in Inferno difficulty, you can check out their updated (raw) stats here:
Monsters
Retail Client Data
2012-05-14
Update: Legendary affixes should now have the correct values.
The retail client just unlocked and we've updated the site to bring you all
its new data! Since we wanted to get this update out ASAP there may be some
bugs in the data still. Rest assured we will be working hard to fix anything
we find. As always, you can report bugs to us directly at
bugs@d3lexicon.com.
To get you started, here are some of the most exciting updates:
Once you're done checking out all the new spoilers, you can take a look at the
new sections we've added to the site while waiting for the retail client to unlock:
-
Affix pages/tooltips (an early version,
but the important info is there)
-
Monster stat scaling by difficulty
has been added to the raw data pages. Look for this info to appear on the
main site in a prettier form soon.
Conversations and Quests
2012-05-11
Another day, another update!
Today's update includes a full list of all conversations
from the final beta build. Conversations don't usually have in-game titles so
the names are just based on the internal file names, but the display includes
variations by Hero and Gender and I think looks very nice.
The quest pages have also been reworked. They
now include tooltips and summary boxes with the basics as well as more details
for each quest step. These details include XP, Gold, and Item rewards per step,
quest decriptions for each hero, and links to related conversations.
This may be the last update until Monday when the full game unlocks
with all the spoiler data that entails so, until then, enjoy!
Major Overhaul
2012-05-09
When Beta Patch 6 finally removed all the Legendary and
Set item data, we decided it was a good time to go
ahead and rework the backend code that extracts data from the game files for this
site. Its taken longer than expected, but it was well worth the effort.
We can now handle format changes to the data files with little or no extra work which
should allow us to update the site with live data as soon as the retail client is
unlocked. In addition, adding new types of data will be significantly easier going
forward, so stay tuned for more updates soonTM.
For now we've mostly focused on restoring the current functionality of the site to
make sure we could push this update out before the game's release, but as an added
bonus we went ahead and added Act and
Quest sections (which should be much more
interesting as soon as the retail client is unlocked).
Finally, our new backend has allowed us to expose the raw Game Data
that's used to generate quest summaries and pretty item tooltips (among other things).
This section of the site is only meant to give people a glimpse behind the scenes
at our raw database. If you're curious you can poke around at things that might not
(yet) be presented nicely on the main site, but digging through this stuff certainly
isn't for the faint of heart.
Beta Patch 5 - Build 7728
2011-11-04
Beta Patch 5 was released last night and the site has been updated with all
the latest data. In addition to lots of updates, it appears that most
Legendary and Set
items have had their properties removed from the data files. Hopefully this
build just caught them in the middle of an itemization pass (since mostly
those items aren't available in the beta anyway), but what you see here is
what's currently there.
Here are a few interesting updates to take a look at:
- New Mystic recipes to
convert old runes into the next higher tier. There are also plenty of new
and updated enchants.
- New Blacksmith recipes to
craft Legendary and Set
items. In addition, the Blacksmith can now convert lower
crafting materials
into the next higher tier. In theory, this means that a bored player can
now level the Blacksmith all the way to level 10 in the beta, though all the
good stuff comes from dropped Plans so you wouldn't get much out of it.
- Lots of new sets have been added
(several of them crafted).
Tooltips and Live Search
2011-10-30
Update: Now you can have tooltips just like ours! Check out how
easy it is here.
We've been working on some features to make the site easier to use and are happy
to announce the launch of tooltips and live search results.
The Search box in the upper-right of each page will now display the top 10 results
when you stop typing. In addition, all links on the site to item/set pages
will now show a preview tooltip when you hover over the link.
As always, we'd love to hear any feedback
you may have. You can also follow @d3lexicon
on twitter for all the latest updates.
It's Alive!
2011-10-18
It's been just over a month since the Diablo 3 beta client became widely available
and, with it, the chance to dive into the game data. We've been hard at work parsing
files and building up a site and it's finally ready to see the light of day! This is
just a taste of what's to come, so keep checking back to see what else we uncover.
Please note that this site is based entirely on data-mined information. If data here
doesn't match other sources like the official Blizzard reference it may just be that
the latest changes haven't hit the beta client yet. It's also possible that we haven't
gotten something quite right yet, so if you think this is the case don't hesitate to
let us know.
